Today’s business environment is more challenging than ever and, in order to stay ahead of intense competition, marketers need to be even more creative and innovative to succeed in unpredictable - and even harsh - situations. Since professionals view creativity and innovation as essential to success in business markets, marketers in many organizations seek ways to encourage and promote creativity and innovation in organizational settings.

This program is a practical marketing program which values creativity and innovation as the core of marketing activities. The program is designed to equip graduates with competence in contemporary, entry-level marketing positions, with strengths in innovative design, creative thinking, and ICT mastery.

Students are equipped with management know-how, marketing thinking and concepts, as well as creativity and innovation which are infused in every course module. At the end of the program, students are more able to produce innovative outputs and construct appropriate business and marketing strategies for each output.

Students in this program are exposed to relevant case studies, engaged in specific seminars on creative industries, and complete innovative projects that are designed to strengthen and enhance their capabilities in generating a new ideas and innovations.

The curriculum comprises four themes, each focusing on an essential element of creativity and innovation in marketing.

  1. The Imperative of Business
    Courses under this theme are designed toprovide students with essential, basic management skills required to fully apply the benefits of creative thinking to marketing practice, which requires a focus on performance and results. Students are expected to develop an analytical approach to problem-solving and to understand the need of improving communication skills.
  2. The Seeds of Novelty
    Courses under this theme are designed provide students with comprehensive and deeper understanding of marketing concepts and philosophies. Students will be equipped with the essential skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in marketing in any type of organization, and to strengthen their understanding that value creation begins with and is driven by customer experience and benefits.
  3. The Leverage of Technology and Entrepreneurship
    Courses under this theme are designed to provide students with ICT skills, marketing, and entrepreneurial knowledge to help them understand important relationships between ICT and value creation, as well as to take on the challenges of creating new ventures.
  4. Showcase of Creative Marketing
    After learning and practicing various methods and concepts in creative marketing, students are expected to integrate creativity and innovation with marketing principles and concepts in the form of innovative output.
